Summary: The position requires the jobholder to provide the best possible products and services to all customers, ensuring the highest safety and sanitation standards. The jobholder is required to prepare all the Department’s products such as hotdogs, popcorn, pizzas, and on hot spot with an emphasis on prompt, efficient and courteous service.

Requirements:

  • Check the stock of items for sale, as well as condiments, paper products, straws etc. in order to maintain efficient service speed.
  • Listen for orders placed for food items and drinks as requested by the Cashiers and prepare the orders in accordance with the company’s established procedures.
  • Ensure that guests/customers confirm their orders before leaving with their trays.
  • Ensure that presentation and quality of hot and cold food items, drinks and pre-packaged snacks are of the highest standards. 
  • Operate all equipment for food preparation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Clean all equipment and surfaces, including drink dispensers, food preparation, storage and handling equipment and counters, walls, floors, cabinets, vents and display cases.
  • Ensure that the company’s grooming and uniform standards are met at all times.
  • Ensure that the company’s core expectations for service and performance are met whilst on duty.
  • Participate in department meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager, Assistant Manager and Concessions Supervisors.
  • Contribute to providing the best film viewing experience to customers thus ensuring exceptional customer service.
 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) CXC passes.
  • Ability to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation an asset.

Food and Beverage Cashier

Summary: The position requires the jobholder to provide the best possible products and services to all guests/customers. The incumbent is required to sell all the Department’s products with an emphasis on prompt, efficient and courteous service.

Requirements:

  • Greet guests/customers cordially, and take orders placed for food items and drinks in accordance with the company’s established procedures.
  • Suggest options such as combos and “add-ons” to guests/customers.
  • Ensure that guests/customers confirm their orders before completing the sale on the computerized registers and give accurate change.
  • Clean all equipment and surfaces, including drink dispensers, food preparation, storage and handling equipment, counters, walls, floors, cabinets, vents and display cases.
  • Ensure that the company’s core expectations for service and performance are met whilst on duty.
  • Ensure that presentation and quality of hot and cold food items, drinks and pre-packaged snacks are of the highest standards. 
  • Follow all cash and inventory controls to reduce the possibility of overages and shortages.
  • Ensure that the company’s grooming and uniform standards are met at all times.
  • Participate in department meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager, Assistant Manager and Concessions Supervisors.
  • Contribute to providing the best film viewing experience to customers thus ensuring exceptional customer service.

Guest Services Host

Guest Services Host




Summary: Promote and sell MovieTowne’s services (e.g. advance tickets, voids, refunds, gift certificates, birthday packages, arcade tokens, telephone queries, and taxi service arrangements). Handle all guest issues and provide first class service to our guests whilst on duty.

Requirements:

·         Sell tickets, Gift Certificates, Season Passes, arcade tokens and respond to requests from guests.

·         Greet guests and identify what services (ticket/pass/token purchases) the guests require

·         Read computer screen and operate a keyboard or dispense manual tickets

·         Complete credit/debit card transactions or collect cash and provide accurate change

·         Answer customer enquiries either in person or over the phone

·         Ensure the security of all cash and tickets, and maintain adequate supplies of change in order to maintain acceptable levels of service

·         Follow all cash control procedure consistently and carefully

·         Ensure that guests are aware of the company’s dress code and parcel/bag policies, and bring to the supervisors’ attention any discrepancies observed.

·         Respond to Guests problem using the service recovery steps:

Maintenance Crew Member

Summary: The position requires the jobholder to perform maintenance (cleaning) duties on the company’s compound.

Requirements:

  • Identify when cleaning chores need to be initiated and perform routine cleaning functions including, but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning glass, wiping off counters, picking up trash, empty trash cans and depositing trash bags into dumpster or compactor
  • Ensure restrooms are stocked with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Use cleaning chemicals, machinery, and other tools required for maintaining infrastructure in accordance with company policy and procedure.
  • Inspect cinema auditoriums, car parks, tenants’ stores and booths, and all facilities on the compound.
  • Review maintenance records to facilitate scheduling of repairs to be done overnight.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar position will be considered
  • Ability to work night shifts, weekends, public holidays and overnights.


Projectionist

Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic and proficient Projectionist to assist in providing expert technical support in the co-ordination, set up and operation of our motion pictures and sound reproduction equipment. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for assisting in the co-ordination of all activities as it relates to the movie projection functions and the maintenance of all related equipment.

Requirements:

  • Communicates daily with Cinema Operations Manager.
  • Order and maintain booth supplies.
  • Prepares weekly booth report.
  • Sets levels on Dolby processors monthly.
  • Takes monthly screen light readings.
  • Prepares monthly booth and xenon lamp reports.
  • Prepares projectionist schedules.
  • Prepares maintenance schedules.
  • Reviews booth log daily.
  • Monitor general equipment repair and adjustments.
  • Perform advanced level automation and processor programming.
  • Maintain on-screen advertising programming and slide placement.
  • Ensure all required planning and reporting documentation be completed thoroughly and accurately and timely.
  • Contribute to providing the best film viewing experience possible.
  • Available to work on a shift basis, inclusive of nights, weekends and public holidays.

 

Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) O’Level subjects including Mathematics and English (A).
  • Two (2) – Five (5) Years Experience in a technically related discipline.
  • Familiarity with Video and Sound Equipment, Cinematography and Projection Systems in a cinema environment as well as Digital and 3D projections will be an asset.
  • Should be booth certified and extremely knowledgeable in booth equipment and operations.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.


Usher

Summary: An Usher is responsible for controlling access to the cinema by ensuring that everyone who enters has a valid ticket. For each cinema, ensure the best movie experience by monitoring picture and sound on the screen, temperature, and customer behaviour such as loud speaking, crying babies, and smoking. Provide directions to the correct cinema and answer guests’ questions about facilities and policies.

Requirements:

  • Control cinema access
  • Greet guests professionally
  • Read tickets to verify date, screen and movie information
  • Tear tickets
  • Direct guests to the correct cinema auditorium
  • Deposit stubs in ticket drop box
  • Evaluate cinema auditorium environment
  • Monitor temperature, lighting level, picture and sound quality
  • Monitor audience behaviour to ensure guests are able to enjoy the movie undisturbed
  • Clean lobby and cinema auditoriums
  • Ensure crowd control and organize lines
  • Provide information and directions to guests on request

Summary: The position requires the jobholder to manage the operations of the following sections of the Cinema Operations Department – Box Office, Usher, Guest Services and Projections. The jobholder will liaise with and be directed by the Director of Cinema Operations.

Requirements:

  • Direct supervision of all MovieTowne Supervisors & Crew Members along with General Manager, Branch Operations.
  • Co-ordinate Crew Member training with department Supervisors. 
  • Ensure that all new and existing Crew Members are aware of Multicinemas (Trinidad) Limited’s policies, procedures and service standards and that these are enforced and adhered to.
  • Perform quality control checks on all departments’ operations and services.
  • Implement, as required, Cinema Health & Safety Policies and Procedures along with General Manager, Branch Operations.
  • Review timesheets and generate regular rosters from the relevant sections within the department.
  • Ensure a standard of customer service synonymous with MovieTowne.
  • Identify key customers’ issues and develop potential solutions.
  • Monitor quality of the Lobby and Auditorium environments re: cleanliness, lighting, temperature, appropriate signs, posters and promotional material.

  • Excellent judgment, complex problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership and Supervisory Skills and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
